Note on Sunday Case Counts
Starting Sunday, November 1st, the Waco-McLennan County Public Health District no longer provided a regular daily COVID19 update on Sundays. Case counts from Sunday will be included in the normal updates in the Monday press release. The dashboard will be updated on Mondays, generally by 4pm.
Test Count Update
On 10/30/2020, The Public Health District identified a calculation error that caused surge tests conducted between 10/10/2020 to 10/29/2020 to not be included in the test counts. This error has been corrected, which is why there is a significant increase in the total number of tests reported. The 7-day average positivity rate will change from 7% to 6%.
Estimated Recovered Disclaimer:
Until the last week of June, the Waco-McLennan County Public Health District was contacting each of the positive cases daily until they met the criteria for discontinuation of isolation. Due to the exponential increase in cases, the daily check-in has been discontinued.
In response to this change in process, the Public Health District will be counting persons who are 10 days from their symptom onset/date of collection as recovered.
