Emergency Assistance from the Salvation Army
Has the COVID-19 Pandemic affected you? Are you dealing with:
- Possible eviction?
- Financial hardship?
- Job loss?
- Reduced work hours?
- Struggling to care for yourself or your family?
The Salvation Army has received a grant from the federal CARES Act to provide additional services, including financial assistance, to those financially affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. If you had a loss of income, financial trouble, facing possible eviction or already homeless, loss of utilities, lacking food, struggling to
pay household bills, had an illness or caring for someone with Covid-19, or have other situations that are directly related to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, we may be able to help you on the path to recovery.

In partnership with the EOAC and the City of Waco, a new Rental Assistance Program provides assistance with rent and mortgage payments to help families who have been affected by COVID-19, due to job loss and reduction in income.
To avoid an eviction and foreclosure, the program assists the families with up to three months of payments not to exceed $2,400.
The EOAC is taking applications by appointments only.

A number of Waco-McLennan County childcare agencies are providing emergency care for first responders, healthcare professionals, construction workers, grocery associates and other essential community employees.
Spaces are available for children 6 weeks to 12 years old, and payment assistance may be available, even if you previously did not qualify. For more information about available childcare and payment assistance, visit hotworkforce.com.
